The Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity was established in 1865, and the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ chapter was established in 1890, but due to the difficult conditions during the Spanish American War, it was forced to surrender its charter in 1898. The chapter was re-established in 1920 when Alpha Digamma, a historic local fraternity founded in 1859, was granted a charter. The chapter is now known as the Beta Rho Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega.

In the past 15 years, Alpha Tau Omega brothers have collectively raised over $167,000 for Bike MS to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This past year, we raised $12,018 for this worthy cause. Our chapter claims many notable alumni who have made a lasting impact on À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and our country. Edwy Brown, class of 1894, helped establish the petroleum engineering program at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Don Drumm, class of 1915, was a À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Athletics legend as a player, coach, and athletic director. Major Andrew Ivan, class of 1967, served in the United States Air Force 13th Tactical Squadron during the Vietnam War.

Being a member of The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity has been such an honor. I have made lifelong friends with guys that I otherwise may never have met throughout my college career. Becoming a member, has allowed me to step outside my comfort zone and explore more aspects of life. It is truly a blessing. Every day, this amazing group of guys push me to be the best that I can be and challenge me in the best ways possible to help me be a better man. I could not imagine going through college and not joining The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Joining Alpha Tau Omega was one of the most important decisions I have made since coming to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Besides making numerous friends, building relationships that will last a lifetime, and creating endless memories, being a member of Alpha Tau Omega has helped me develop personally and professionally. I have been able to take on the ideals of the fraternity and shape myself into a better man than I was when I came in.
