ݮƵ was well represented at the Spring 2024 meeting of the Eastern Great Lakes Section (EGLS) of the American Physical Society (APS) in April at Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. The title of the conference was “Physics and Industry.”
All four faculty members — Drs. Ann Bragg, Craig Howald, Dennis Kuhl, and Joseph Smith — attended, along with eight students.
“Attending and presenting at a professional conference is a valuable experience for our students while they are undergraduates,” said Dr. Kuhl, Chair of the Physics Department. “In the ݮƵ Physics Program, all students have this opportunity. It helps prepare them for graduate school if that is their goal. More generally, it helps them to build confidence in a professional setting.”
