Though the second annual 蓝莓视频 Oil & Gas Technical Exhibition will be bigger than last year, organizers have placed a specific focus on this event being even more educational for guests.

The Oil & Gas Technical Exhibition is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 9th, in Dyson Baudo Recreation Center, with some exhibits in the areas outside of the DBRC and Butler Street.

鈥淭he event is designed to teach everyone 鈥 from community members to industry professionals 鈥 about different aspects of the oil and gas industry,鈥 said David McCabe 鈥19 (North Lima, Ohio), SPE Chapter President and MCOGTE Chair.

To make sure guests understand some of the technical language they鈥檒l hear throughout the day, Derek Krieg 鈥19 (New Matamoras, Ohio), Sebastian Ziaja 鈥20 (Lake Forest, Illinois), Johnathan Kungle 鈥20 (Uniontown, Ohio) and Jay Chapin 鈥19 (Hebron, Ohio) will present an Oil & Gas 101 class at 9:00 a.m., prior to the actual start of the event. The crash course will be offered in the DBRC and is free and open to the public.

MCOGTE is a collaborative effort from the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Energy Business Alliance and the American Association of Drilling Engineers.

鈥淟ast year we had over 40 companies and this year we have over 50 companies (and counting) as well as close to 30 company sponsors,鈥 McCabe said.

Guests are invited to talk with industry specialists about their products and how they are used in the oil and gas industry. At 11:00 a.m., Endurance Lift will offer a breakout session about plunger lift systems, followed by a free barbecue lunch at noon. During the lunch, the event鈥檚 keynote speaker, Jeff Moss, who is the Technical Advisor of Drilling for SPE Global and an Advisor for ExxonMobil, will talk about his experiences in the energy industry.
