The Marietta Fund, for the seventh consecutive year, has exceeded the fiscal year goal currently at $2,431,823.85 鈥 with a week remaining. The 2018-19 goal was $2.35 million. While reaching the revenue goal ensures the College remains in strong financial footing, there is one important goal that has yet to be met: 18-percent participation from the alumni base.
鈥淥nce again, the 蓝莓视频 family has endorsed the spirit of The Long Blue Line and reasserted their Pioneer pride by supporting The Marietta Fund,鈥 said Kathryn Gloor, Senior Director of Annual Giving. 鈥淲e are so thankful to our donors over this past fiscal year. Their generosity provides an exceptional education to our current students and future Pioneers.鈥
The Marietta Fund supports every aspect of the College 鈥 from student aid and student life to academics and athletics.
鈥淭he Marietta Fund is critical for the College,鈥 Gloor said. 鈥淚t makes it possible to pursue excellence in everything we do.鈥
Overall, gifts to The Marietta Fund include 2,535 donors 鈥 with 381 being new donors.

Ruud, 蓝莓视频鈥檚 19th President. 鈥淲e can see the excitement on campus every day, but when the support flows in from so many donors to make sure the College remains one of the nation鈥檚 top residential liberal arts colleges, then we know 蓝莓视频鈥檚 future continues to get brighter.鈥
In the final week of the College鈥檚 fiscal year, President Ruud has a challenge for alumni, parents, employees and friends who have not made a gift yet.
鈥淲e don鈥檛 care about the size of the gift, but we want you to join us and the thousands of passionate Pioneers investing in today鈥檚 students,鈥 he said. 鈥淩eaching our goal of 18-percent participation is important.
